Function:

  • altitudinal sensor automatically watches optimal distance between rugged semifinished product and cutting jet during cutting,
  • potentiometer sensor is used for maintenance of right distance,
  • another important characteristic is protection against side strike to cutting jet when part of the semifinished product or cutout gets stuck during the side movement or in the zone of jet movement there is some obstacle which could cause jet breaking

Utilization:

  • it is possible to equip new cutting table with altitudinal sensor,
  • it is also possible to supplement with altitudinal sensor even older installed tables acuired from other producers

Mechanical arrangement:

  • it is a lettle box with OP 67 cover in which all mechanical and electronic components are placed,
  • in bottom part there is a flange by means of which altitudinal sensor shall be attached to the board carrying cutting head,
  • arm of the sensor with contact ring framing cutting jet draws out of the bottom board,
  • this arm si covered with rubber sleeve,
  • bottom surface of removable ring is equipped with replaceable teflon ring which minimizes abrasive wear caused by semifinished product during cutting,
  • altitudinal sensor is connected to the control system by one cable,
  • pressure air inlet is necessary for operating.

Divergences in solutions of connection of individual variants:

A. Altitudinal sensor installed on PTV table D line equipped with Z axis (axes) with power of servointensifiers:

  • altitudinal sensor is fully integrated to the table and is one of bidirectionally controled peripheries,
  • bidirectional system can be understood as and communicating dialog of orders and answers which works completely based on instructions from NC program,
  • distance of jet from semifinished product is controlled in constant or frequency mode of touch between semifinished product and sensor,
  • side collision is controlled with possibility of suspension of power for operation of tables

B. Altitudinal sensor installed on PTV table D line equipped with Z axis (axes) with power of DC engines:

  • altitudinal sensor works concurrently with control system,
  • concurrency can be understood as autonomous functionality of sensor there is no dialog with control system sensor is activated and deactivated manually by operator of the table,
  • distance of jet from semifinished product is controlled in constant or frequency mode of touch between semifinished product and sensor,
  • side collision is controlled with possibility of suspension of power for operation of tables

C. Altitudinal sensor installed on table of another producers than PTV:

  • it is always ncessary to consider whether the table acquired from another producers is prepared for installation of universal altitudinal sensor or altitudinal sensor with connectivity and functionality as the altitudinal sensor VS1,
  • level of integration and functionality of altitudinal sensor can be different (A or B),
  • it is possible to carry our partial contructional amendments allowing integration to the table of another producer.
